Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our team at ITCAN. The successful candidate will have experience in implementing and administering Microsoft Products, particularly SCCM, SCOM, Active Directory, KMS, and WSUS, as well as common network services like DNS, WINS, and DHCP.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in deployment experience for server hardening, software remediation, and network printer, file services, and desktop deployment. Additionally, they should have experience in troubleshooting and fixing issues, as well as knowledge in software deployment and patch management procedures.

We are looking for a methodical approach to problem-solving and resolution, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. The successful candidate will also have excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, and be able to effectively communicate with technical and non-technical audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Implement and administer Microsoft Products, including SCCM, SCOM, Active Directory, KMS, and WSUS
  • Deploy server hardening, software remediation, and network printer, file services, and desktop deployment
  • Troubleshoot and fix issues related to software and patch deployments
  • Provide reports to management on deployment and patching activities
  • Collaborate with the team to achieve goals and objectives

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of technical experience in Linux/Unix/Windows Administration
  • Strong knowledge of Enterprise architecture, constraints, and security
  • Experience with capacity planning, risk management, and customer service orientation
  • Technical certifications, such as Microsoft MCITP, Microsoft MCSE, Nutanix Platform Professional, ITIL v3 Foundation Certification, VMWare VCP Certification, RHCE, AIX V1, or OCP
