Airfreight Operations Executive Job Overview

Airfreight operations play a critical role in the logistics industry. As an Airfreight Operations Executive, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth and timely processing of shipments.

This position requires strong organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple shipments simultaneously. You will need to be meticulous and detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in documentation and data entry.

Effective communication and interpersonal skills are essential to collaborate with a global team and liaise with overseas offices, agents, and partners.

The ideal candidate will have proven experience in airfreight operations or a similar role within the freight forwarding/logistics industry. Relevant diplomas or certifications are also encouraged to apply.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Shipment Coordination: Manage and coordinate all aspects of inbound and outbound airfreight shipments, ensuring timely collection and delivery.
  • Permit Declaration: Prepare and submit customs permits and ensure compliance with all Singapore Customs regulations for air cargo.
  • Documentation: Process and handle essential shipping documents, including Air Waybills (AWB), commercial invoices, and packing lists with high accuracy.
  • System Updates: Perform real-time data entry and updates into our Transportation Management System (TMS) to ensure shipment visibility for all stakeholders.
  • Global Communication: Liaise effectively with overseas offices, agents, and partners to provide shipment status updates and resolve any operational issues.
  • Customer Service: Address inquiries from customers and provide timely and professional support.

Job Requirements:

  • Experience: Proven experience in airfreight operations or a similar role within the freight forwarding/logistics industry is preferred.
  • Skills: Knowledge of Singapore's customs procedures and experience with permit declarations via TradeNet is highly advantageous.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in using Transportation Management Systems (TMS) and standard office software.
  • Attributes: Strong organisational and time-management skills to handle multiple shipments simultaneously. Meticulous and detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in documentation and data entry. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with a global team. A proactive problem-solver with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Work Schedule: Willingness and ability to work on a rotating shift basis, which includes weekends and public holidays, is a mandatory requirement for this role.
