Broadcast Operations Specialist
Job Description:

The Broadcast Operations Specialist is responsible for the core of the broadcasting facilities, acquisition and management of live and recorded media. Key responsibilities include receiving various feeds through Fiber as well as Satellite.

Shuffle audio of feed through MMS Client as per house format, and provide live event sources to TX. This role involves strong knowledge of audio-visual (AV) technology involving video formats, multi-language audio tracks, understanding the equipment, setups, and troubleshooting for audio and visual systems.

Responsibilities also include uploading the Ingest schedule into the ingest scheduler, checking all ingest live feeds routed properly to the ingest application, testing Audio and Video Quality of Given Links during Live Telecast, operating & communicating with the core technical facilities for the acquisition of live feed via satellite, fiber, or IP Technology, monitoring of server, storage, network switch, Power supply, and other equipment, undertaking Quality Control and transcoding of all incoming streams or package transfers to Media Servers.

Regularly update the station router as per the event schedule, identify & resolve the issues and take immediate preventative action to restore traffic, feed venue coordination for Error-free transmission, conduct routine checks and maintenance of MCR equipment, including FMS servers, routers, Buzzers, and monitoring tools, document shift reports, technical incidents, and resolutions for future reference, ensure the monitoring and adjustment of incoming feed according to the broadcasting Standards and follow the statutory compliance.

Required Skills and Qualifications:
1. Strong understanding of conducting live events & managing multiple tasks.
2. Fluent English speaker and able to communicate effectively in writing.
3. Able to report technical issues through clear diagrams.
4. Should be able to translate user requirements into technical requirements and technical specifications.
5. Should be able to work in a team & must be deadline-driven.
6. Able to deal with frequent changes and remain calm under pressure.
7. Should be able to analyze problems determine root causes and provide solutions.
8. Ability to perform in rotation shift.
