IT Broadcast Specialist Job Opportunity

The position of IT Broadcast Specialist involves supporting broadcast and related equipment and systems. This encompasses tasks such as manning of support hotline, system diagnosis, remediation and monitoring, system administration, patching and preventive maintenance.

  • Providing technical assistance to broadcast equipment and systems in news studios and post-production facilities, asset management systems, outside broadcast production vans, and news room computer systems.
  • Documenting, communicating, collaborating, and handling fault incidents.
  • Evaluating system vulnerabilities, providing guidance, remediating, and mitigating any reliability and security risks.
  • Performing troubleshooting and repair of broadcast equipment and systems.
  • Conducting preventive and corrective maintenance on broadcast and IT equipment.
  • Collaborating with various business units to provide technical solutions to enhance existing operations.
  • Evaluating and recommending new broadcast IT equipment and systems.
  • Supporting the implementation of broadcast IT system infrastructures, including drafting technical specifications and cost documentation.
  • Being on standby duty to support broadcast system infrastructures.

Qualifications:

  • Degree or diploma in information technology, information systems, IT security, or equivalent CCNA certification in information technology networking is advantageous.
  • MCSA Microsoft certifications are preferred.
  • Project management experience is desirable.
  • Relevant work experience of 0-3 years in IT broadcast or media production is preferred.
  • A basic understanding of cloud enterprise system architecture.
  • Network troubleshooting skills and experience in managing and configuring network devices, switches, routers, and firewalls are preferred.
