This is an exciting opportunity to join the Institutional Client Coverage team at the Commonwealth Bank of Australia, based in Singapore, in this newly created Associate Director role deepening and expanding our correspondent banking relationships across Asia.
Your Impact and Contribution- Develop and execute strategic sales plans to promote the bank's correspondent banking services to financial institutions across Asia.
- Grow correspondent banking volumes each year in line with team objectives and manage economic returns while employing sound risk and financial crime compliance management disciplines.
- Work closely with teammates in various locations to provide seamless cross-border connectivity across the bank's network and drive service excellence with the world's largest banks.
- Identify customer pain-points, understand customer aspirations, and leverage the bank's correspondent banking capabilities and value proposition to drive business development initiatives.
- Act as a representative for the bank during industry events and channel back substantial trends, news, and insights to enable the bank to remain at the forefront of correspondent banking developments.
- Tertiary qualifications in a business-related discipline.
- Correspondent banking customer coverage, portfolio management, and product sales experience.
- Strong interpersonal, negotiation, communication, and collaborative skills.
- Curiosity and desire to drive change and deliver improvement across the business leveraging in-depth payments landscape understanding.
- An understanding of risk management, particularly financial crime, credit, and liquidity risks.
- Offshore banks experience, particularly 'catch and throw' relationship management, will be highly regarded.
