Senior Claims Executive, WICA Claims Specialist

AIG is redefining the way we handle claims, and we're looking for a Senior Claims Executive, WICA Claims to be part of this transformation. As a key member of our team, you'll play a crucial role in delivering exceptional claims resolution services to our clients.
Key Responsibilities- Adjudicate WICA claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution within given authority levels.
- Assess WICA claims for Singapore office and multinational clients, applying statutory requirements, policy coverage, and special arrangements.
- Interpret WICA policy wording for SME and commercial portfolios, determining coverage under the Act, and driving resolution of claims in an effective and timely manner.
- Manage key claims enquiries, legislative coverage determination, permanent incapacity, and act death quantum, and issue compensation awards to parties involved.
- Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders, striving for continuous improvement in claim file handling through quality assurance reviews.
- Align with team members to maintain adherence to best practice protocols for WICA regulatory claims, consistent with global best practices.
- Contribute to the maintenance of best practice procedures for intermediate to high-value complex claims, consistent with global best practices.
- Update claims status in various platforms, attend pre-hearing conferences, and perform 13th month file reviews.
- Work on KIV files, attend recurring and ad-hoc meetings, and run reports/claim stats for stakeholders.
- Basic insurance certifications, such as BCP and Comm GI.
- Proven experience in assessing complex WICA claims.
- Timely, accurate, and customer-focused claim resolution, minimizing indemnity exposure and mitigating vendor and legal expenses.
- Effective communication of key complex claims and WICA portfolio messages to internal stakeholders.
- Financial control through consistent reserve and other financial transaction discipline.
- Accurate and consistent policy interpretation.
- Preferable with administrative experiences.
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Time management – ability to manage and prioritize workload and diary management.
- Ability to contribute effectively within a team environment.
- Ability to work with claims and various stakeholders to effectively drive claims strategy.
- Sound knowledge in WICA technical claims topics.
- Policy language skills, enabling accurate and consistent policy wording interpretation.
- Basic knowledge of legal/regulatory and litigation/procedural requirements for the line of business.
- Experience in effectively following up on recommendations from technical claims audits and continuous claim handling improvement.
- Able to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
