Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Global Account Manager to join our team. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for identifying new business opportunities globally and driving revenue growth through consultative selling and relationship building.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify and pursue new business opportunities globally through direct calling, email, and contact efforts
  • Work closely with IT decision-makers to understand their current and future connectivity needs and position Cogent's services as a solution
  • Achieve monthly revenue goals by selling into carrier-neutral hotels, data centers, colocation facilities, and large commercial and retail buildings
Requirements
  • Proven experience in direct hunting, B2B sales with a track record of quota achievement
  • Ability to identify, qualify, and generate new business through extensive prospecting and research
  • 4-8+ years of solid B2B sales experience in the telecom arena with colocation and wholesale experience
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment with revenue deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
  • Professional knowledge of computer applications such as Microsoft Office and Salesforce
  • Previous experience with telecommunications, specifically data transport
  • Ability to speak Asian languages (e.g. Mandarin, Japanese, Cantonese, Korean etc)
