Job Title: Senior Construction Estimator

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Quantity Surveyor to join our team. As a Quantity Surveyor, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that construction projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Reviewing construction plans and preparing comprehensive Bills of Quantities for Pre-Tender quotation preparation.
  • Familiar with Construction methodology, particularly in Landed Construction in Singapore to prepare for accurate estimates.
  • Collating and analyzing data to develop interior fit-out residential (home renovation) quotations.
  • Tracking, managing, and presenting Variation Orders (VO) tabulations in a timely and concise manner.
  • Preparing final billing and closing accounts effectively and accurately.
  • Communicating and liaising confidently with site managers, clients, contractors, and subcontractors.
  • Preparation of Compliance reports, eg Noise report, Progress report, Health & Safety monitoring, Work Commencement Reports, Risk assessment, Permit-to-Work requirements and other Compliance documents.
  • Supporting and co-leading in Annual ISO 3-in-1 full suite renewal exercise.
  • Establishing a library of standard materials, formula, ratios for procurement of materials.
Requirements:
  • Degree/Diploma in Building or its equivalent.
  • 4 years and above experience as QS in main-con companies.
  • High proficiency in deriving construction works, interior fitting out (eg Wetworks PSF, Carpentry Per foot run rate etc), and development costs for landed properties in Singapore.
  • Familiarity with Singapore's code of practice and legislation for building works, if not eagerness to excel and master them.
  • Proven ability in Contract administration, Variation orders and Final Accounts closing.
  • Able to work independently, be meticulous, analytical with excellent problem-solving skills, proactive, a good team player & able to meet tight deadlines.
  • Landed construction methodology costs estimating is a must.
  • Resourceful with Strong analytical and critical thinking skills.
  • Sound knowledge of construction.
  • Excellent organizational, planning and interpersonal skills.
  • Great networking abilities.
