DBS Bank is seeking a seasoned professional to lead its Consumer Credit Approval team in the Risk Management Group. As Senior Vice President, Head of Consumer Credit Approval, you will be responsible for providing strategic leadership and effective management of the consumer lending credit approval process.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic objectives to drive business growth, improve customer satisfaction, and optimize risk management.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders, including business, risk management, legal, and compliance teams to ensure seamless customer journeys throughout the loan application process.
- Work closely with technology and operations teams to align credit approval processes with digital initiatives and leverage automation opportunities.
- Drive continuous optimization efforts, including automation and straight-through processing (STP) to streamline workflow and enhance efficiency.
- Stay up-to-date on relevant industry regulations, compliance requirements, and internal policies to ensure adherence to all applicable laws and regulations.
- Provide leadership and guidance to the credit approval team, ensuring alignment with DBS values and culture. Set clear performance objectives and ensure the team is adequately trained to make informed credit decisions.
Requirements
- Recognized degree in Banking and Finance, Economics, Business Administration, or equivalent.
- Minimum 10 years of experience in consumer banking, with a focus on credit approval and risk management.
- Proven experience in a leadership role, managing a team in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
- Experience in managing stakeholder relationships and driving collaboration to achieve business objectives.
- Strong understanding of consumer lending regulations and compliance requirements.
- Knowledge of industry best practices, trends, and emerging technologies in the consumer banking and credit approval space.
- Demonstrated track record of driving process improvements and enhancing operational efficiency.
- Familiarity with credit scoring models, data analytics, and portfolio management tools.
- Commitment to continuous learning and professional development in the field of credit approval and risk management.
