About the Role:

The Assistant Hygiene Manager will play a critical role in ensuring the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene throughout the hotel. This includes overseeing all hygiene-related activities, conducting regular audits, and implementing a robust Hygiene (Food Safety) Management System. Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan and drive hygiene-related activities, including risk assessments and compliance monitoring.
  • Conduct regular audits and inspections to ensure compliance with hygiene and food safety legislation.
  • Implement and enforce action plans to address non-conformities and improve hygiene practices.
  • Support management in verifying adherence to hygiene and food safety practices, policies, and procedures.
  • Facilitate hotel visits from local government officials and other organizations related to food safety, hygiene, and pest control.
  • Ensure the effectiveness of all HACCP/Food Safety Management System documentation and procedures.
  • Conduct and coordinate hygiene and food safety briefings and training sessions for new joiners and current employees.

Requirements:

  • Degree in Food Science, Food Technology, or equivalent experience in Hygiene & Food Safety.
  • Minimum 3-4 years of related experience in a similar capacity in the hospitality industry, preferably in a luxury brand.
  • Familiarity with all hygiene-related legislation in Singapore and experience working closely with the relevant government authority.
  • Experience in establishing and implementing Food Safety Management Systems (FSMS), HACCP, and ISO.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to drive and influence various stakeholders.
  • Proficient in Microsoft 365.

Schedule & Hours:

This position requires the incumbent to work from Mondays to Fridays, 8.30 am to 6.00 pm, subjecting to work exigencies.
