 Job Title: Senior Application Support Engineer - Front Office

Job Summary:

We are looking for a seasoned Senior Application Support Engineer to join our Front Office team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in database and application development, with a focus on front, middle, and back-office systems.

Responsibilities:

  1. Enhance, support, and maintain the firm's front, middle, and back-office systems.

  2. Work as a part of the global application support team based in Chicago, New York, London, San Francisco, and Hong Kong.

  3. Proactively engage with portfolio managers, traders, and analysts to resolve issues and identify improvement opportunities.

  4. Support other geographic locations, e.g., monitor jobs running overnight in Asia, Europe, and the US.

  5. Work with external vendors' technical support teams to resolve issues and deliver strategic enhancements.

Requirements:

  1. A strong understanding of macro products, including IRS, FX Options, Bonds, Repos, OTC Equity Options, FX Forwards, and Exotics.

  2. Experience building Excel/VBA tools and working with Linux, C++, C#, Python-based applications.

  3. SQL experience across various database implementations, including MSSQL.

  4. Experience working with Bloomberg market data and a high degree of accuracy and attention to detail.

Preferred Qualifications:

  1. Experience with Risk management systems, Messaging platforms, Front Office systems, Middle/Back-office systems, Broker Trading Applications, and Market Data services.

  2. A computer science degree and 5-7 years of experience in the hedge fund industry.
