Job Description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Senior Manager, Business Development to join our dynamic team.

The successful candidate will play a crucial role in driving new business opportunities across a range of product areas, including Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, and Project Logistics.

Key Responsibilities
  • Proactively identify potential business opportunities through extensive networks and research to secure Requests for Proposal (RFP) and Requests for Quotation (RFQ).
  • Develop new business across all product lines, including Freight Forwarding, Contract Logistics, and Project Logistics.
  • Explore opportunities to cross-sell products to both new and existing clients.
Client Relationship Management

Forge and maintain strong relationships with key contacts in both new and existing accounts. Ensure account retention through excellent customer service.

Strategic Leadership

Strategize and implement new business initiatives to drive growth. Maintain an accurate and robust sales pipeline at all times. Collaborate with solution design teams to enhance business development strategies.

Identify and build infrastructure with reliable service providers and freight agents in overseas markets where the company does not have a presence.

Market Intelligence and Strategy

Use market knowledge and competitor insights to identify the company's unique selling propositions and differentiators. Gather and share market intelligence to support business strategies.

Partner closely with stakeholders to develop proposals, negotiate contracts, and integrate requirements with business operations.

Brand Development

Leverage the company's branding and professional profile to gain new business opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have 15+ years of relevant business development experience in international freight forwarding, with at least 10 years of leadership experience.

A proven sales track record and an excellent customer network are essential. Strong market knowledge in the freight forwarding industry (ocean and air products) is required.

The ability to develop and execute business strategies aligned with company objectives is critical. Experience in leading high-performing teams is also necessary.

Strategic thinking and leadership skills are essential. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills are required.

A goal-oriented and results-driven mindset with the ability to push boundaries is necessary. Ability to perform under pressure in a fast-paced environment is also required.
