Companies in Consumer Packaged Goods, Sports, Luxury, Fashion, and Lifestyle are investing to harness this growth and innovate products, channels, and business models in Singapore for the Asian market. Key Responsibilities

In this position, your duties will encompass:

  • Client Management
    Serve as the primary liaison for a designated portfolio of corporate clients, overseeing the complete account development process, project negotiations, execution, and client support.
  • Relationship Building
    Foster strategic relationships and build trust with clients, adhering to EDB's service principles to ensure a positive client experience.
  • Client Engagement Strategies
    Develop a profound understanding of clients, their needs, operations, and organizational structure to enhance client engagement strategies.
  • Opportunity Identification
    Identify, negotiate, and structure project opportunities to achieve mutually beneficial outcomes for clients and Singapore.
  • Solution Offering
    Provide solutions to address client requests, issues, and challenges.
  • Resource Activation
    Mobilize relevant resources and expertise from EDB, government, and ecosystem partners to support client engagement.
  • Collaboration
    Work alongside various teams within EDB (e.g., Ventures, Policy & Planning, Finance, and Legal) to facilitate project development, negotiations, and the seamless execution of account management processes.
  • Industry Insights
    Cultivate a solid understanding of regional and global industry trends, synergies, and EDB's offerings to create project opportunities and enhance client relationships.

Market Analysis

  • Competitive Analysis
    Lead and conduct ad-hoc competitive analyses (e.g., market/sector-based, trends) to enhance client engagement strategies.
  • Trend Identification
    Recognize trends and observations across sectors, recommending solutions in response to client challenges or potential impacts.
  • Policy Input
    Provide relevant insights to appropriate teams within EDB and/or the broader Singapore government regarding policy or product/service development.
  • Cross-Team Collaboration
    Collaborate with various teams in EDB to deliver analyses and generate insights.
  • Initiative Development
    Lead the creation of industry-relevant initiatives and value propositions.

Candidate Profile

To excel in this role, you should possess:

  • 6-9 years of relevant industry experience in business development, marketing, or creative sectors.
  • A Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline.
  • Knowledge and interest in the Consumer, Retail, Lifestyle, and/or E-commerce sectors, demonstrating an understanding of industry nuances and networks.
  • Strong analytical and strategic thinking capabilities, with the ability to analyze complex issues and propose actionable solutions.
  • A keen sense of business acumen, along with experience in negotiation, deal structuring, and project management.
  • Ability to work independently, delivering outcomes effectively and efficiently.
  • Proficiency in building and maintaining positive client relationships, thriving in a dynamic, cross-functional team environment.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal, with experience in engaging and managing stakeholders at all levels.
  • A driven, self-motivated, and positive attitude, complemented by a strong work ethic and teamwork spirit.
  • Singaporean citizenship.
