Key Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Associate – Client Onboarding Specialist to join our team at The Edge Partnership. As a key member of our Private Banking division, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless client onboarding experiences.

  • Manage the entire client onboarding process, from KYC/CDD account opening to client approval.
  • Review and validate new account opening documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Conduct thorough client due diligence, ensuring all internal standards are met.
  • Verify the quality of client source of wealth and ensure it meets our onboarding standards.
  • Perform name screenings, adverse media findings, sanctions links, and tax red flags.
  • Maintain accurate and complete records of all client communications.
  • Ensure data accuracy in our PvB system.
  • Advise frontline staff on PvB CDD policy and procedures, as well as applicable local regulations.
  • Elevate higher-risk relationships and reputation risks to PvB Compliance.
  • Collaborate with functional experts (Legal, Compliance, Tax) as needed.
  • Contribute to the implementation and control of daily processes.
  • Meet agreed-upon Turn Around Times for assigned activities.
  • Promote a culture of continuous improvement by identifying procedural issues and suggesting improvements.
Role Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Business, Finance, Accounting, or a relevant field.
  • At least 4 years of working experience, with 2 years in Compliance, focusing on Private Banking/Wealth Management.
  • A solid understanding of regulatory requirements for Private Banking CDD/AML.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills in English and Mandarin.
  • A high level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail.
