About the Role

The Edge Partnership is seeking a highly skilled Client Onboarding Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our Private Banking division, you will be responsible for ensuring seamless client onboarding experiences while maintaining the highest standards of compliance and risk management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage the end-to-end client approval process for the Private Banking division, ensuring timely and accurate completion of all necessary documentation and checks.
  • Review and verify client documentation, including source of wealth and income, to ensure compliance with internal standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Conduct thorough name screenings, adverse media checks, and sanctions link investigations to mitigate reputational and financial risks.
  • Collaborate with internal stakeholders, including compliance, legal, and tax experts, to ensure accurate and up-to-date knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance client onboarding efficiency, accuracy, and quality.
  • Provide expert guidance and support to frontline teams on Private Banking CDD policy and procedures, ensuring consistent application and adherence to regulatory requirements.
  • Escalate high-risk relationships and reputational risks to the PvB Compliance team for further review and action.
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of internal controls and procedures to ensure ongoing compliance and risk management.

Requirements

  • Minimum 6 years of experience in a related field, with at least 4 years in compliance with a focus on Private Banking/Wealth Management.
  • Strong knowledge and understanding of regulatory requirements relating to Private Banking CDD/AML.
  • Excellent verbal, presentation, and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively in English and Mandarin.
  • High level of integrity, professionalism, and attention to detail, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results.
