Job Overview

We are seeking a highly experienced Sports Marketing Director to lead our efforts in South East Asia. This is an exciting opportunity to drive business growth and develop a strong portfolio of brand partners.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for building and executing a market-leading brand partner strategy that aligns with global objectives. They will manage a diverse portfolio of partners, athletes, clubs, and federations to drive category growth and brand awareness.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Strategy & Planning
    • Develop and implement a comprehensive brand partner strategy for SEA, ensuring alignment with global objectives.
    • BUILD AND OWN THE REGIONAL STRATEGY THAT IS INFORMED BY DEEP INDUSTRY KNOWLEDGE ACROSS KEY SPORTS & CULTURAL PILLARS THAT RESONATE WITH SEA CONSUMERS
    • Prioritize and strategically phase brand partner additions to deliver maximum impact during key sports and cultural moments.
    • Analyze and refine the annual portfolio plan to ensure future-proofing, freshness, and efficient investment.
    • Drive data-driven decision-making and investment strategies across SEA.
    • Lead a strategic mindset to the Brand Partner function across SEA.
    • Collaborate with SEA countries to identify, assess, secure, and maintain an industry-best portfolio of talent that reflects adidas' brand positioning.
    • Negotiate contracts and strategies to secure partners across SEA.
  • Partner Activation
    • Leverage brand partners to deliver impactful brand storytelling through effective activation calendars and event management.
    • Create engaging content and campaigns to amplify brand partners and drive awareness of partnerships and products.
    • Oversee entitlement utilization to maximize benefits and drive ROI through partnerships.
    • Maintain relationships with global events and partner visits, ensuring seamless execution.
  • Relationships & Servicing
    • Deliver exceptional service to brand partners, fostering long-term relationships and driving mutual success.
    • Nurture key industry relationships across the region, leveraging these connections to unlock brand opportunities and benefits.
    • Integrate brand partners with adidas internal departments to drive cohesive brand activation and sales strategies.
Requirements:
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
    • Senior Manager with strong interpersonal, influencing skills, and deep sports marketing knowledge.
    • Extensive sports marketing experience with established industry contacts and a proven track record of delivering results.
    • Strategic marketing management experience, with a focus on multi-functional brand marketing.
    • Proven methodological skills, including business planning and strategic development.
    • High degree of commercial and business acumen knowledge related to sports marketing.
    • Strong negotiation skills and contract negotiating experience.
  • Education and Experience:
    • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
    • Minimum 10 years equivalent professional experience, ideally in sports marketing and influencer marketing.
    • Advanced user of MS Office suite of products.
    • Fluent in written and spoken English.
Estimated Salary: $120,000 - $180,000 per annum
