FX/Rates Application Support

My client, a reputable financial institution, are seeking a talented and motivated Application Support Analyst to join their technology team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in providing technical support and ensuring the smooth operation of their FX/Rates applications.

The role:

  • You will be responsible for providing technical support and maintaining the stability and performance of their FX/Rates applications. You will work closely with traders, portfolio managers, and other stakeholders to address application-related issues and implement enhancements. 
  • Provide L2/L3 support, including troubleshooting and resolving issues in a timely manner.
  • Collaborate with traders, portfolio managers, and other business users to understand application requirements and deliver effective solutions.
  • Monitor application performance, identify bottlenecks, and implement optimizations to enhance efficiency.
  • Develop and maintain documentation, including user guides, troubleshooting manuals, and knowledge base articles.
  • Coordinate with internal and external stakeholders to execute application upgrades, patches, and enhancements.
  • Conduct testing and validation of application changes to ensure accuracy and minimize potential risks.
  • Collaborate with development teams to prioritize and implement bug fixes and system enhancements.
  • Participate in on-call support rotations and be available to address critical issues outside of regular business hours.

What you offer:

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in a similar role, supporting macro/fx/rates trading applications.
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in scripting and programming languages (e.g., Python, SQL, VBA).
  • Solid understanding of database concepts and experience working with relational databases (e.g., SQL Server, Oracle).
  • Experience with troubleshooting and resolving application-related issues in a timely manner.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to think critically and logically.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with business users and technical teams.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
  • Flexibility to participate in on-call support rotations and address critical issues outside of regular business hours.
  • Must be Singapore Citizen or PR
