Business Development Lead

· Leading the Proposal and Capture Team to respond effectively to RFPs, RFIs and other similar requests to sell our services
· Monitor and understand the pipeline to support / implement capture, proposal and resource planning
· Oversight of the proposal process including strategic analysis of the opportunity, bidding strategy, partnership approach and identification of key personnel.
· Interact routinely with all levels of Operations, Business Development and other key stakeholders / subject matter experts to develop capture plans, service solutions and competitive pricing models for identified opportunities.
· Ensure correct governance and approval process is followed
· Review proposal submissions by analyzing strengths and weakness to improve quality and win rates and the further strengthening of the draft proposal review process.
· Conduct after action reviews for all business opportunities, document lessons learned and identify necessary adjustments to capture technique, strategy, and actions.
· Advance understanding and implementation of the capture/proposal process and gather and share issues with and ideas for improvement.
· Evaluates RFA's/RFP's and new strategic opportunities, partnerships and alliances to make recommendations for achieving strategic business objectives
· Mentor staff in the capture/proposal management process
· Monitor and report on the performance of Proposal Operations and Capture staff to ensure they meet expectations.
· Participate in and support business planning activities, including the development of strategy decks as required
· Support identification of potential adjacent markets including public policy directions, potential market and opportunity size, and key influencers
· Work with BD Team to collaborate and coordinate on business development and capture planning – including development of strategies / market entry plans for business and geographic adjacencies
· Work closely with senior leadership to contribute to the planning, designing, due diligence, and implementation of strategic business objectives and overall strategic direction
· To participate in conferences, seminars, webinars as appropriate and budgeted to represent the company.
