Introduction to GoNetZero
GoNetZero empowers clients worldwide to achieve their net-zero goals. As a global decarbonisation solution provider, it offers comprehensive end-to-end solutions through its digital platform and verified environmental attributes (EAs), including Renewable Energy Certificates and carbon credits. It is the carbon management business of Sembcorp Industries, a Singapore Stock Exchange-listed company.
GoNetZero's suite of digital solutions includes Measure – which enables clients to begin their net-zero journey by assessing their organisations' emissions; Manage – which allows clients to view, manage, and retire their EAs portfolio seamlessly on a single platform; and Perform – which helps clients maximise the output and lifespan of their renewable energy assets across multiple sites on a single dashboard. Additionally, GoNetZero provides custom solutions tailored to clients' decarbonisation needs.

To support our global expansion, we are looking for a professional who is experienced in Environment Attribute Certificate (EAC) on both supply and demand sides in any one or more of these markets – South Korea, Taiwan, China.
The individual will be based in Singapore and must possess professional proficiency in English and one or more of the above local languages. He/She will be accountable for driving revenue growth for Renewable Energy Certificates (RECs), or equivalent types of environment attribute certificates (EACs), for the target geographic markets by building relationships with new corporate customers and renewable energy producers.
Role and responsibilities
Own the EAC supply target for specific market(s), build supply pipeline and secure long-term agreements with renewable energy producers to achieve the periodic supply targets:
- Analyse demand trend for various types of EACs for the specific market(s) covered, including demand forecasted by other markets.
- Identify and build relationships with potential credible renewable energy producers for long-term supply opportunities.
- Perform due diligence on the identified producers and projects to ensure credibility, supply capacity and quality.
- Secure short- and long-term agreements with these power producers through win-win and commercially viable proposals.
- Manage the inventory portfolio and minimize inventory risk by closely monitoring the customer demand pipeline and market price trend.
Own EAC sales revenue target for specific market(s), build sales pipeline and drive sales closure to achieve the periodic revenue targets:
- Analyse and identify key industries based on their scope 2 carbon emission level.
- Identify potential major corporate customers within the target industries for sales opportunities.
- Build relationships with the identified customers by providing value-adding advisory on decarbonization and solutions
- Drive sales engagements with customers through to closure, including submission and negotiation of commercial proposals, and negotiation of contractual agreements.
- Maintain relationship with existing customers to drive recurring sales revenue.
- Work closely with Marketing and Business Development Departments to drive market awareness for GoNetZero's offerings and lead generation for new customers/generators.
Preferred Skills
- Bachelor's Degree or Masters' Degree
- Professional knowledge in voluntary and compliance EACs in various markets in Asia
- At least 3 years of direct renewable energy/EAC sales and/or renewable energy project development/off-taking experience.
- Strong track record of sales achievements and relationship management.
- Knowledge of decarbonization, corporate sustainability will be advantageous.
- Professional written and oral communication skills in English and a local language in one or more of these countries - South Korea, Taiwan, China
