Roles & Responsibilities

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and monitor the annual budget, including allocations for staff training and development, while developing cash flow statements and making financial forecasts.
  • Provide financial advice to management for strategic decision-making and formulate financial policies to ensure operational sustainability and good financial health.
  • Ensure timely submission of monthly management accounts, GST filing, and compliance with the revenue recognition policy where fees from all courses are recognized on an accrual basis.
  • Maintain accurate financial records, track student fee collections, and ensure proper record-keeping of financial data and fee payments.
  • Manage timely payments to Authorized Student Recruiters (ASRs), suppliers, and third parties while implementing financial controls to mitigate risks.
  • Process staff payroll, verify claims, and handle student refunds efficiently.
  • Assist in implementing a structured human resource management system aligned with the College's strategic goals, covering recruitment, manpower planning, performance monitoring, rewards, recognition, and staff code of conduct.
  • Ensure compliance with ACRA regulations and corporate governance standards while supporting management in maintaining transparency and accountability.
  • Contribute to resource planning, risk management, and business continuity planning, ensuring alignment with institutional goals.
  • Assist Heads of Departments in overseeing resource and facilities management to optimize operations.

Requirements:

  • Finance / Accountancy Degree or other professional Accountancy qualification (eg:- ACCA).
  • A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience
  • Experienced in handling external auditors and relevant authorities
  • Technically strong in accounting, finance and able to make knowledgeable operational decisions and appropriate recommendations to management and work under pressure
