Roles & Responsibilities

DG APAC and Regional Business Development Co-ordination

· Assist Head Strategy & Business Development to train and supervise the Business Development Analysts and Managers in Singapore and the region

· As Business Development Lead to co-ordinate the following Business Development Functions regionally - Strategy, Investment Approvals, M&A and Project Finance

Strategy

· In coordination with the Business Engagement Team's market intelligence activities, to align market research across goegraphies covered by DG APAC. This will inform the annual business review (LTP, JV PIC) and budgeting cycle (JV budget, JV initial commitment budget and internal budgets)

· Support new market entries with compelling business cases, market research and potential projects

· Coordinate strategy & planning between teams in the different geographies, regional hub and Paris HQ

Investment Approvals

· Manage the investment approval process for organic investments and M&A, including: ensuring the accuracy of proposals, coordinating reviews with HQ, scheduling hub and HQ approval process

· Financial model review and optimization that ensure the accuracy of the financial model in the context of DG APAC activities

M&A

· Lead deals (i.e. acquisitions, joint development agreements, divestments) and take a co-lead role with Head Strategy & Business Development for deals (unless otherwise instructed).

· Scale deal flow by working through the relevant country teams to manage M&A deals (SOP, training, guidance)

· Source potential leads for partnerships and joint development agreements, including structuring transactions and termsheets

· Liaise with advisors and investment banks for both dealflow and transaction due diligence

Project Finance

· Oversee the Project Finance process in coordination with DG HQ

· Communication with banks, lead presentations during face-to-face meetings

· Monitor due diligence process and required internal governance to obtain approval from both JV shareholders

· Provide input to update the JV PIC (if required)


Requirement

· Bachelor’s degree with min. 8 years of experience in operations, business to business marketing, finance, corporate development roles or similar

· Understanding of conducting M&A, joint-venture or similar transactions

· Graduate from a premier university with a degree in business, finance or economics. In progress of post-graduate degree, MBA and/or related professional qualifications considered a positive.

· Familiarity with economic and financial models and project financing principals

· Ability to create presentations to be shared with investors and financiers

· Experience with SalesForce, Tableau and Office 365 Apps a plus
