Roles & Responsibilities

Summary:

Our HR Business Partnering team supports stakeholders in three clusters: Schools/Colleges, Administrative, and Research. HR Business Partners report to the Cluster Head and may have a secondary reporting line based on their assigned cluster.

Job Description:

  • Partner with business units to drive organizational effectiveness and implement HR programs
  • Identify gaps and minimize people-related risks, influencing solutions
  • Advise on HR policies and procedures (employment legislation, talent management, performance management, recruitment, manpower planning, rewards, employee engagement)
  • Understand hiring needs and collaborate with Shared Services for timely hiring and staff appointments
  • Facilitate and advise senior leaders on industrial relations, employee grievances, conduct, and discipline
  • Advise on policy changes and collaborate with senior leaders and HR Centre of Excellence on HR initiatives (manpower planning, budget planning, employee engagement, people development, change management, performance management)
  • May supervise a small team of HR professionals (Depending on the final deployment of the HR team)

Requirements:

  • Degree with 5+ years in HR, preferably in HR Business Partnering
  • Strong knowledge of Employment Act and Labour Laws
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to engage and influence stakeholders at all levels
  • Flexible and adaptable to changing needs and priorities
  • Collaborative, comfortable in a matrix structure
  • Resourceful with strong initiative to drive change
  • Able to work independently and as part of a team
