Christian Bassett is recruiting a HR Manager, SEA for a luxury jewellery company.

Key Responsibilities

HR Management & Operations


•Lead and oversee HR operations across Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia, ensuring seamless execution of HR policies and practices.


•Ensure compliance with local labor laws and regulations across all covered regions, mitigating risks and safeguarding organizational integrity.


•Manage end-to-end payroll, benefits administration, and medical insurance, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.


•Develop and implement HR policies and procedures tailored to regional needs, ensuring consistency with corporate guidelines.

Talent Acquisition & Workforce Planning


•Drive a strategic recruitment process, ensuring alignment with business needs and organizational growth plans.


•Manage full-cycle talent acquisition, including sourcing, interviewing, and selection of candidates at all levels.


•Develop and implement onboarding programs to enhance new hire integration and engagement.


•Utilize market intelligence and recruitment best practices to attract top-tier talent in the luxury retail sector.

Learning & Development (L&D)


•Oversee and coordinate L&D initiatives for travel retail markets in the Philippines, Indonesia, and Thailand


•Conduct training needs analysis (TNA) and develop customized training programs that align with business objectives.


•Partner with the L&D Manager in Singapore to ensure effective delivery of learning programs across various regions.


•Implement leadership development and succession planning strategies to build a strong talent pipeline.

Strategic HR Partnership


•Act as a trusted HR advisor to the Managing Director, Southeast Asia, supporting strategic decision-making and business growth.


•Functionally report to the HR Director, APAC, ensuring alignment with regional HR strategies and corporate directives.


•Provide HR analytics and insights to drive data-driven decisions and workforce optimization.

Employee Relations & Engagement


•Foster a positive workplace culture, promoting employee engagement, inclusion, and high performance.


•Address employee relations issues promptly and effectively, ensuring fair and consistent resolution.


•Develop and implement employee engagement programs aimed at enhancing retention, motivation, and overall satisfaction.


•Drive Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) initiatives, ensuring an inclusive and equitable work environment.

Qualifications & Experience


•Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree preferred).


•Minimum 7-10 years of HR experience, preferably within the luxury retail, high-end jewellery, or watches industry.


•Proven expertise in HR generalist functions, including Talent Acquisition, L&D, Employee Relations, and HR Compliance.


•Strong knowledge of labor laws across Southeast Asia, particularly Singapore, Malaysia, and Australia.


•Experience in managing multi-country HR operations and working with a diverse workforce.


•Strong business acumen with the ability to align HR strategies with organizational goals.


•Exceptional communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.


•Proficiency in HRIS systems and data analytics tools is a plus.
