Roles & Responsibilities

  • Responsible for pricing, inventory management, and analysis according to the property and The Ascott Limited's standards and policies.
  • Reports to the General Manager of the property with dotted line reporting to the Country Director, Revenue Management.
  • Yield optimal revenue and RevPAR with regular business reviews of managed properties, including rate assessments, inventory management, sales strategies, competitor performance, and booking pace.
  • Monitors market trends and pricing strategies for restaurants, bars, and catering sales in the local area, collaborating with department heads to drive revenue and pricing strategies for these centers.
  • Collaborates with the Director of Sales and/or Catering Sales team to establish catering space release policies and minimums.
  • Provides market trend analysis and positioning insights to enhance revenue generation and market share growth, ultimately boosting profit margins.
  • Manages decisions from the IDeaS revenue management system.
  • Enhances direct booking performance by working with the Ascott Star Rewards (ASR) HQ Marketing team and Country level Team.
  • Oversees the online distribution strategy for all sales channels.
  • Updates monthly revenue forecasts for the managed property.
  • Participates in budget and rate rationalization exercises.
  • Offers advice to the Sales Team on sales quotations.
  • Ensures rate parity and competitiveness.
  • Chairs Revenue Meetings and contributes during Country level revenue meetings.
  • Engages with industry partners to stay updated on market changes and industry developments.
  • Manages on-property reservations team, overseeing their training, development, and adherence to Operations Standards and Revenue Management strategies.
  • Promotes Revenue Management culture within the organization.
  • Coordinates with departments like Sales, Marketing & Communications, F&B, Reservations, and Operations on specific tasks.
  • Contributes to the overall success and culture of the property, including participating in the Manager on Duty (MOD) program.
