Job Summary


The Marketing Manager SEA is responsible for identifying, developing and implementing strategic marketing programs in the Southeast Asia Region that drive business objectives.

Key markets will include Thailand, Malaysia, Singapore, Vietnam, Indonesia, the Philippines, Brunei, and Myanmar.

The Regional Marketing Manager will work in close collaboration with a diverse group of in-country sales and clinical stakeholders as well as different functions stakeholders, in analyzing market development opportunities, tailoring programs from inception to execution, and monitoring the effectiveness of programs.

The Marketing Manager SEA is a vital contributor to the future growth of the SH franchise in Asia Pacific.

Responsibilities:


The Marketing Manager SEA will work closely with Country leadership as a key contributor to building of the strategic vision of SH in SEA region.

The primary objective for this role is to bring additional strategic leadership for market development and to increase patients access to Abbott SH technologies / therapies.


Other key responsibilities include:

  • Develops marketing and customer programs to support implementation of key SEA SH strategies across the region to achieve operating plan objective and longterm vision objectives
  • Manages SH product launches to reflect marketing plan, strategies and tactics (price, positioning, promotion, education etc.)
  • Works with the Abbott APAC Marketing counterparts to implement marketing strategies and tactics and specific materials to support local SEA markets
  • Uphold highest margin and profitability standards, providing strategic decision support in designing, supporting and assessing gotomarket strategies. Works in partnership with the with in country teams
  • Personally build internal and external relationships in our direct and distributor markets
  • Create and lead KOL development and tracking activities; host advisory board meetings
  • Conduit to actively observe, research, and review market segments, customer requirements and competitor dynamics. Aggregates and synthesizes field input to support marketing and sales strategy development
  • Adapt or recreate global marketing materials for SEA or countryspecific audiences
  • Plan and lead key regional marketing events within the region (conferences, companysponsored industry events, etc)
  • Provide regional leadership to support execution local marketing activities and tactics.

Supervisory/Management responsibilities**:

1 direct report. Position to report to the Country Manager SEA

Minimum Skills Required:

  • Product marketing experience within the medical device / healthcare field
  • Medical device technical experience (training, product certification), preferably in interventional cardiology or radiology
  • Sales experience a plus
  • Experience working within Southeast Asia markets
  • Experience working with distributors

Knowledge / Education Required

  • College degree with emphasis in marketing / business / communications
  • Proficiency with Excel spreadsheets, filters, data analysis
  • Proficiency with PowerPoint presentation making
  • MBA strongly preferred
  • Knowledge of local languages a plus

Experience Required
6-8+ years of commercial experience within medical device / healthcare industry with roles of increasing responsibility. Both sales and marketing experience in medical devices preferred.
