Main Duties and Responsibilities

We are seeking a highly passionate and driven Payroll and Shared Services Executive who will be part of our pre-opening team for the Mandai Rainforest Resort by Banyan Tree. This will be an excellent opportunity for HR professionals to deepen and advance their HR skill sets and career by being involved in development and setting up of the HR department for the new Resort.


Possessing a self-motivated and learning mindset, the incumbent will play a critical role in the pre-opening of the Resort by helping to set up the necessary payroll, tax and shared services functions. In setting up these HR processes, the Payroll and Shared Services Executive will ensure compliance with regulations and that these processes are developed based on best-in-class standards.


Key Responsibilities

  • Payroll Management - Manage and execute the Resort’s monthly payroll activities, including processing of salaries, statutory contributions, tax filing and other payroll related requirements. The incumbent will also ensure that service standards of the HR department are kept to the highest levels by addressing and resolving any payroll inquiries from staff.
  • Payroll System, Processes and Policies - Assist the HR Director and/or Manager to setup and implement the Resort’s payroll system. This includes establishing payroll policies which are compliant with Singapore’s Employment Regulations.
  • Shared Services – assist in the setup of the HR Shared Services function, including employee data management, HR administration and other HR services.

Job Requirements

  • Diploma or an equivalent professional qualification in Human Resource, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • 3 to 5 years’ experience in payroll management preferably in the hospitality industry, and/or with pre-opening experience.
  • Extensive knowledge of Singapore’s regulations related to salaries and payroll management.
  • A self-driven individual with unbridled passion for Human Resources coupled with a high propensity to learn.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.
  • Able to handle matters independently, and able to exercise self-motivation to enroll and complete projects.
