Nanyang Technological University initiated the first materials engineering degree programme in Singapore under the Division of Materials Engineering in 1991. With the increasing demand for materials engineers, the division was subsequently elevated into a full-fledged engineering school in 2000.

The School of Materials Science and Engineering (MSE) has undergone substantial transformation over the years. While continuing to equip students with the latest scientific and technological skills sets much needed by the industry, the School has evolved into a hub of excellence in its niche areas of research. As part of NTU's College of Engineering, MSE is now recognised worldwide as a premier research institution with top universities, multinational corporations and R&D institutions as its research collaborators and funding partners.

The School of Materials Science & Engineering (MSE) invites applications for the position of an Executive/Senior Executive in the Graduate Studies Office. The successful candidate will be responsible in supporting and facilitating the outreach and admissions campaigns and activities for all graduate programme in MSE as well as facilitating and supporting the daily operations of the Office and providing efficient and effective support services for faculty and the postgraduate students.

Key responsibilities:

Postgraduate OutreachPromote all PG programmes for both local and overseas potential students.Provide full spectrum of administrative and operational support (pre-event to post-event) in MSE.Assist in planning, developing and implementing outreach activities through various platforms to increase awareness.Plan, design, create and execute marketing campaign for various social media platforms.Work closely with outreach team to design collaterals, online contents and other publicitiy materials.Assist in planning and organizing recruitment events (local and overseas).Generate reports and analyse data related to recruitment and admissions activities.Work closely with other internal stakeholders, external companies or other IHL to promote the PG programmes.

Postgraduate AdmissionPrepare interview logistics and schedule interviews for shortlisted applicants.Coordinate with various stakeholders to develop course content and manage administrative tasks, ensuring accurate updates of course information on the website.Support and coordinate freshmen orientation and lab tours for new students.

Postgraduate Coursework Matters for Master of Science Program and CET CoursesProvide administrative support for teaching schedules for Master of Science Program and CET Courses.Support and coordinate with offices to arrange timetables, allocate resources and teaching assignments, and update Masters courses in School Website.

Postgraduate Examination Matters for Master of Science Program and CET CoursesProvide administrative support in standardizing the examination papers and generating mark lists and support examination at decentralized venues.Provide administrative support for Board of Examiners (BoE) meeting in each semester.

Postgraduate Dissertation Matters for Master of Science ProgramProvide administrative support in verifying accuracy and assembling dissertation documents and schedule dissertation examinations.

Postgraduate Outreach and AdmissionPromote all PG programmes in MSE.Assist in developing and implementing outreach activities through various platforms to increase awareness.Assist in planning and organizing recruitment events.Generate reports and analyse data related to recruitment and admissions activities.

Requirements:Degree or Diploma from recognized University/Polytechnic, minimum 1 year of relevant experience in Institutes of Higher Learning.Proficiency in Microsoft Office applicationsAbility to work independently and under pressure with a meticulous nature.Good teamwork and initiative to accomplish given tasks timely and accurately.Excellent interpersonal, communication and organizational skills.Excellent communication skills with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse audiences, including prospective students, parents, professionals, and educational counsellors.Proficiency in data analysis and interpretation, with experience using CRM systems, Google Analytics, and other marketing analytics tools.Creative thinking and problem-solving abilities, with a strategic mindset and attention to detail.Leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a team, as well as collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams and stakeholders.Experience planning and executing recruitment events, campus visits, and promotional activities across multiple program levels.Passion for higher education and a commitment to promoting the value of undergraduate, postgraduate, and continuing education and training programs.
