They are expanding activities in Asia and are seeking a Buyer & Technical Quotes Representative M/F based in Singapore to support their intensive growth.

About the Role:

As part of the launch team, you’ll oversee the end-to-end purchasing process, deliver precise technical quotations, and contribute to building a streamlined, customer-centric operation. This multifaceted role combines strategic sourcing with technical quoting and offers an opportunity to help shape the company’s regional operations from the ground up.

• Manages the full purchase order cycle, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with company standards
• Supports procurement activities, including sourcing, vendor evaluation, and negotiation to secure high-quality materials at competitive landed costs
• Performs accurate data entry and maintains organized filing systems, both digital and physical
• Collaborates with sales and operations teams to optimize inventory levels and prevent shortages or excess stock
• Builds and maintains strong supplier relationships to ensure supply chain reliability and prompt issue resolution
• Identifies opportunities for cost savings and process improvements by analyzing market trends and negotiating with suppliers
• Drives automation in procurement workflows (e.g., EDI, automated POs) and resolves discrepancies in orders or invoices
• Reviews customer RFQs and technical documentation to prepare accurate, competitive quotes for industrial components (e.g., bushings, springs, bearings)
• Evaluates pricing, lead times, and profitability in collaboration with vendors and sales teams
• Manages quote follow-ups, updates pricing databases, and maintains detailed records in the company’s quote tracking system
• Maintains unwavering adherence to safety protocols across all tasks and responsibilities

• Graduated in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field with a minimum of 5 years’ experience in procurement, sourcing, or supply chain in industrial or manufacturing settings
• Fluency in English is required; proficiency in Mandarin or other regional languages is a plus for Asia-Pacific/Middle East engagement
• Proven ability to manage full purchasing cycles, from vendor selection to order fulfillment
• Solid grasp of landed cost analysis, global sourcing, and supplier performance
• Skilled in RFQs, technical quoting, and interpreting engineering documents
• Strong inventory planning skills and cross-functional collaboration with sales and operations
• Track record of driving cost savings and process improvements
• Proficient in automated procurement tools, ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle), and quote tracking platforms
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and negotiation skills
• Effective communicator with internal teams, suppliers, and customers
• Capable of building strategic supplier relationships and resolving issues proactively
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and adaptable in fast-paced environments
• Committed to safety and compliance in all procurement activities (Professional certifications such as CIPS, CPSM, or APICS are a strong asset)
