Role Overview
:In the Regional People Partner position, the employee will work provide full People support to the BAM Asia offices. The employee will work collaboratively and effectively with all levels of management, staff, clients, external partners, and regulatory agencies. The employee will be responsible for the following:
Duties/Responsibilities:
Provide full People support across Asian office locations while leveraging technical expertise from People colleagues where appropriate. Develop and maintain strong relations with managers in the Asian offices, partnering with leadership, providing guidance on business priorities, employee matters, People policies and processes. Provide the day-to-day performance management guidance through coaching, career development and management of all employee relations matters, where appropriate working with internal legal department. Maintain knowledge of legal and regulatory requirements related to day-to-day management of employees. Partners with the compliance and legal department as needed/required. Deliver guidance and input on department restructures, workforce planning and succession planning. Partner with regional leadership and managers to retain, develop and motivate people to achieve their fullest potential Work closely with global People team to ensure consistency and sharing of best practice. Collaborate with both People and regional leaders on People projects, including managing local People projects. Co-ordinate local/global projects to ensure successful implementation. Implement and ensure compliance with all People policies, procedures and initiatives in line with local legislation and where appropriate, modify to adhere with local regulation and legislation. Drive operational excellence by implementing effective People processes Working with managers and People to identify training needs. Support employee engagement and wellbeing through mental health and wellbeing programs advocacy to ensure our employees feel valued and connected to the organization. Leadership and management of a junior People Partner Performs other related duties as assigned.
Skills and experience
Demonstrated extensive experience in a regional Asia HR role, ideally covering Hong Kong, Singapore and Tokyo In-depth working knowledge of multiple People disciplines, including performance management, employee relations, immigration, respective employment laws and regulatory requirements in the Asia regional offices. Demonstrated People Systems experience, ideally Workday Strong project management and operational experience Degree preferably in Human Resources or professional Human Resources accreditation Autonomous and able to work independently, while also able to build trusting professional relationships globally Experience of driving initiatives independently, executing People plans and key tasks from beginning to end Ability to multitask and prioritize assignments, while producing high quality work in a demanding, fast-paced environment Strong business judgement to resolve problems Culturally sensitive Self-motivated, well organised and detail orientated Excellent time management skills with a proven ability to meet deadlines.
