Job Description
On behalf of one of its clients, an Insights & Strategy Consultancy, the French Chamber of Commerce is looking for a Consumer Insights Director – Luxury & Premium Brands.

Our client is a leading subscription-based platform offering insights and data subscriptions to leading luxury brands across different luxury verticals, looking to gain affluent consumers’ market share.

They are looking for a Consumer Insights Director to join their Client development team in Singapore to help service and delight their Luxury and Wealth client base in Singapore.

This role will provide opportunities to work on multiple types of consumer insights projects and methodologies with a senior client base across the luxury and Wealth sector. A successful candidate for this role needs to demonstrate ability to work in a fast moving environment. You must be agile, driven, self-motivated, and take ownership of projects and work.

Key tasks and responsibilities include:
Key things we look for-   A curious person who is switched on to trends and consumer behaviours. Someone who has an interest in people and who fits our diverse culture

Organized: You need to be able to inspire and motivate people, but keep things simple.

Doer – we need things that get done and done well, so execution and being brilliant at delivering on time with high levels of quality

Creative – Show us clear thinking, leveraging our data suite and tools to come up with winning ideas and thought leadership. You need to be self motivated with a high level of professionalism and driven by client delight

Understanding of Affluent and Luxury will be a huge plus.

Insights  lead for specific category research, lead workshops, deliver strategic recommendations and work as partner to our clients for their business problems.

Requirements
  • Education Bachelors Degree: Market Research, Statistics, Economics, Industrial Engineering, and/or Applied Mathematics. MBA Preferred
  • 10+ years working as a Planner or Insight Professional, in either a leading consumer goods company, a Comms/Creative Agency, or a consumer research consultancy. Expertise in FMCG or Spirits industry is a plus.
  • Proven track record of leveraging consumer and shopper insights into successful activity.
  • Ability to lead strategic discussions, cross functional teams
  • Analytical rigor and a challenging outlook on all new information. Work comfortably with data and be results oriented
  • Must have technical aptitude to include expert level Excel or Access skills and broad-based awareness of other analytical tools
  • Expertise with modern, up-to-date theories of Brand growth and decline, and an interest in how these are evolving
  • Demonstrated proficiency in modelling tools like trend analysis and optimization.
  • Ability to inspire and influence a team of experienced Brand Marketers and Consumer Planning Directors as well as a wide range of stakeholders
  • Ability to manage complexity. Distills and simplifies consumer and market knowledge from multiple sources into relevant priorities and then into clear, actionable implications
  • Excellent facilitation skills – able to lead a team to unlock creative solutions to consumer issues.
  • Proven record of handling complex analyses.
