Royal Ocean Marine is a leading headhunting /recruitment agencies company in the maritime industry, looking for a Purchasing Executive to join our client's team. As a Purchasing Executive, you will be responsible for maximizing profitability for the company through cost-effective procurement. In this role, you will oversee the entire purchasing process of raw materials, equipment, and services necessary for the successful functioning of the shipyard. You will work closely with suppliers, reviewing purchasing decisions, and ensuring that all materials and services are obtained at the best prices, quality, and delivery. You will report to the Operations Manager and work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.

**Responsibilities**:

- Evaluate and select reliable suppliers based on price, quality, and delivery speed.
- Develop purchase orders and agreements with suppliers to ensure timely and cost-effective delivery of goods and services.
- Manage vendor relationships, monitor performance, and negotiate pricing terms.
- Review, approve, and manage all purchase decisions to ensure compliance with the company's procurement policies and budgetary constraints.
- Develop and maintain a comprehensive database of vendor contracts, materials, and services.
- Coordinate closely with department heads to assess procurement needs, forecast future needs, and ensure that departmental purchasing goals are met.
- Maintain accurate records of all purchase orders, invoices, and other procurement-related documentation.

**Requirements**:

- A bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, logistics, or related fields.
- At least 5 years of experience as a purchasing manager or equivalent role in the maritime industry.
- Strong negotiation and procurement skills, including strategic sourcing techniques.
- Excellent oral and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with suppliers and company staff.
- Proficient in inventory management and purchasing software, including Microsoft Excel, SAP, or Oracle.
- Ability to maintain accurate records and understanding of financial management techniques.
- Knowledge of relevant maritime regulations, laws, and customs.
- Those from ship management/ shipyard/ marine engineering company will be advantageous
