Within KPMG Singapore, the Information Technology Services (ITS) team is responsible for providing quality IT services and solutions internally to support the business and improve efficiency. You will be part of the Data Office, a department responsible for defining and implementing the Data Strategy with the vision to empower our people to harness data across the firm to generate actionable insights and drive value.

We’re looking for a resourceful and trustful team player who is passionate about data and technology and has the spirit to diagnose and solve problems within a complex system. As a member of the Data Office within ITS, you will actively support the delivery of firm’s data governance roadmap.

**As an intern, your duties will include but not limited to**:

- Support the data team in operationalisation of data management policies, standards/guidelines & processes ensuring compliance with relevant local & Global laws, and regulations (e.g. PDPA, GDPR etc.)
- Support Data Governance team with running the Data Governance Working group, ensuring alignment of all functions with overall data strategy.
- Support the enhancement of data catalog - data governance tool used as a central metadata repository for data assets in the firm
- Current studies in Computer Science, Information Management, or other data related fields
- Good understanding of data quality, data governance, and data protection practices
- Good understanding of cloud technologies (e.g. Azure), SQL databases
- Be an agent of change and instil data driven culture across different segments of data users through effective communication and collaboration
- Proficient in MS Office suit (Excel, Word and PowerPoint)
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to express complex concepts in clear business terminology
