**The Opportunity**
The Opportunity Development Representative Role works within our dynamic sales team to work strategically to create leads and opportunity for the business. In this role you will use your research and communication skills to unlock the door to a range of difference markets and accounts, you will gain exposure into how a world class sales engine works and learn the pitch required to position Equinix as the leader in the market and the worlds digital infrastructure company.
**Responsibilities**
Account Research
- Research accounts and identifies key personas
- Acquires Key/Targeted Personas through a variety of available tools
Customer Communication
Territory Management/Strategy
- Develops leads to stimulate business development, coordinating second level meetings/calls for Account Executives
- Leverages teammates (Managers, Inside Sales Associates and Account Executives) to develop targeted lists, call strategies, and messaging in order to drive opportunities and prospecting activities
- Monitors social web for sales opportunities and leads
Cross-Functional Team Coordination
- Follows up on campaigns and provides detailed feedback on the success of each campaign to our Sales Management Team and Marketing Managers
- Actively participates on Regional Sales Team calls/meetings
- Engages with Marketing for Regional Events support
Reporting
- Reports on weekly results, both qualitative and quantitative
Building Customer Relationships
Establishes relationships with key stakeholders in assigned accounts and prospects
**Qualifications and skills required**
- 0-2 years experience preferred
- Degree in Business/Marketing or IT related field
- Excellent presentation and communication skills
- Resilience and grit
