Director, Information Technology Systems Operations

As the director of IT Systems Operations, you will plan, coordinate, direct and design IT-related activities, as well as provide administrative direction and support for daily operational activities.

You will assist in the development of medium and long term plans to achieve strategic objectives and regularly interact across functional areas with senior management or executives to identify, recommend, develop, implement and support cost-effective technology solutions for all aspects of the company.

**ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES**:

- Scope and implement the IT infrastructure for current and future organizational needs.
- Lead the planning and implementation of IT initiatives as well as management of core day to day services.
- Manage IT vendors and consultants.
- Regularly and effectively communicate with key business and project stakeholders to understand requirements, keep them advised of project progress and overall IT services status.
- Oversee vendor-managed services and strike a balance between outsourcing and internalizing functions.
- Maintain ongoing knowledge of industry trends to ensure the company is leveraging the best and most efficient resources to meet evolving IT needs.
- Establish and maintain IT policies and procedures.
- Maintain IT contingency plans.
- Oversee lifecycle of hardware and software used throughout the company.

**REQUIRED**:

- Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or a related field.
- 7-10 years of IT experience in manufacturing and/or engineering environments.
- Experience in VMware.
- Experience delivering highly complex, global programs and projects
- Strong interpersonal skills, with demonstrated ability to work in a collaborative, multi-disciplinary setting.
- Prior experience in successfully implementing, utilizing and leveraging outsourcing strategies.
- Excellent communication skills, written, verbal and presentation
- Previous direct experience managing an IT team.
