**Job Summary**:
The Director of Information Technology will manage and direct the companys information technology (IT) operations, ensuring the department provides efficient and effective technical support service.

**_Supervisory Responsibilities: _**:

- Hires and trains IT staff.
- Schedules, organizes, and assigns projects to members of the IT team.
- Conducts performance evaluations that are timely and constructive.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees as needed and in accordance with company policy.

**_Duties/Responsibilities: _**:

- Leads development and implementation processes for the organizations IT systems and department.
- Develops and implements business continuity protocols to minimize disruption to business operations in the event of emergency situations or data loss.
- Establishes efficiency and efficacy standards, providing recommendations for improvement of IT infrastructure.
- Analyzes IT infrastructure and systems performance to assess operating costs, productivity levels, upgrade requirements, and other metrics and needs.
- Oversees security of systems, networks, and enterprise information.
- Facilitates IT security audits or investigations.
- Develops and maintains relationships with external IT vendors and service providers.
- Coordinates multisite IT systems via enterprise resource planning (ERP).
- Performs other related duties as assigned.

- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Proficient in latest technology for IT systems and management.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent analytical and management skills.
- Excellent interpersonal skills.

**_Education and Experience: _**:

- Bachelors degree in Computer Science required; masters degree or MBA preferred.
- At least 8 years of experience managing an IT department.

**Notable Duties**:

- Lead a technology expansion to deliver an internal portal using Microsoft.NET and SharePoint platforms.
- Implement custom build ERP system which manage inventory, laboratory testing and patient demographics.
- Lead successful project to implement EDI with Japanese manufacturing operations supporting materials requirements planning, and production schedules.
- Migrate land base lines to VOIP technology to centralize and minimize spend.
- Provide network, server, and PC operation problem-solving support in a system-orient environment.
- Create a structure Client/Server GUI development environment base on Delphi 2.0 and Microsoft SQL server.
- Wrote/Revise numerous SQL programs, including programs run by end users, improving data access.
- Direct the prioritization of all internal systems projects and introduce internal standards for SDLC activities.
- Perform the pilot, cost analysis, and implementation of the laptop PC in the field.
- Supervise a staff of eight, to include personnel and payroll actions, work schedules, and assignment of duties.
- Develop educational curriculum and documentation via company Intranet enhancing employee training.
