The Associate Director or Director is for audit, compliance and related consultancy work with a focus on the Financial services and related sector. He/she will lead and manages a portfolio of engagements to provide assurance and audit-related, compliance and consulting-related services. He/She will provide leadership to the team with a focus on financial services clients which includes engagement planning, execution and finalisation of engagements and leading the team to handle such engagements. You will be fully accountable for the engagements and will be tasked with ensuring that the engagement process against budget and timeline is closely monitored.

He/She will develop and maintain long-term client relationships, with a focus on business development. You will review and provide key technical expertise to ensure the quality of work performed is compliant with professional and regulatory standards and requirements. You will also undertake a role in professional development activities such as training, staff recruitment and performance management.

**Key Roles & Responsibilities**
- Identify the client’s business and key risks
- Analyse the impact of changing business environment on client’s business
- Implement and provide input to the engagement plan
- Perform assurance engagements in compliance with professional standards, AML/KYC, MAS regulatory reporting and related compliance areas.
- Propose resolutions to accounting and auditing issues and any other related consultancy work.
- Review information accompanying the assurance report in accordance with the applicable framework
- Identify areas for personal development to improve work performance
- Facilitate effective communication within the cross-functional and culturally diverse team
- Led and coached junior team members to achieve technical competency and efficient performance and to develop a pipeline of talents for the team
- Identify ethical conflicts in the work environment

**Job Requirements**
- Degree in Accountancy, preferably with a recognised professional qualification
- Min of 10 years of relevant work experience, preferably from an international accounting firm
- Must have experience working on financial services engagements and consultancy work, i.e., insurance, banks, payments, asset and wealth management, etc.
- Must have experience working on regulatory audits, preferably on Singapore engagements
- Experience in building/setting up a new teaM/Function would be advantageous
- Excellent communication skills to work effectively and efficiently across all levels
- Good understanding of corporate governance, regulatory compliance, audit standards and accounting principles
- Possess a positive “can do” attitude to challenges and the agility to multitask effectively across competing priorities
- Good networking and business development skills.
