**Job Purpose**:
Based in Singapore, this role requires the job holder to work closely with the program leader of China Desk Central team to implement business development strategy to maximize revenue and profitability in South Asia for the China Desk Business Segment.

**Sales development and product marketing**:

- **Collaborate in the design and execution of the Marketing Action Plan as defined by the China Desk Central team, including the action plan for China Desk targets and build the Market Intelligence for China Desk in South Asia.
- Prospect for potential new clients by cold calling, advertising, internet mining, social/professional networking sales and networking events or any other means of generating interest in order to successfully transform them into prospects and ultimately into clients. Identify new sales opportunities within the existing portfolio of accounts for proposing new products
- Participate in external events (trade shows, conventions and professional associations) organized within the Region representing the company in the best light for building new business contacts.
- Build and develop sustainable and trust-based broker relationships as the preferred partner for China Desk placements across South Asia
- Prepare regular forecasts to enable effective sales planning and ensures that the sales potential is fully exploited to achieve annual sales targets
- Develop clear and effective written proposals/quotations to prospects with the contribution of internal stakeholders
- Present and demonstrate product and services to potential clients and assist them in selecting those best suited for their needs.
- Lead the commercial negotiation with prospects and intermediaries up to the signature of contractual documents.
- Prepare the very first phase of the program implementation before handing over the implementation project to the program’s Account Manager
- Monitor feedback from clients to measure their satisfaction with company products and services
- Maintain all required records of sales and any other relevant information to enable performance to be measured and monitored
- Ensure prudent Commercial Underwriting of Credit Insurance Business, adhering to Group Standards
- Take joint ownership of the loss ratio on the portfolio with the Risk department and deliver a profitable result to the business
- Adhere to compliance standards set by the Company and external regulators

**Skills Required**:

- **Degree holder in Finance, Business Administration, Economics, Banking or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years' sales experience in business development preferably in a multicultural/international environment within a credit insurance, banking, claims or factoring organization in South Asia Market for Chinese Companies
- Possess strong understanding of the Chinese culture and markets is a plus for dealing with Chinese multinational clients for the China Desk Business segment
- Proficiency in Business Mandarin communication (oral and written) is essential for dealing with Chinese multinational clients - Presentable with strong communication, negotiation and interpersonal skills
- In depth familiarity and knowledge of various contract structures in order to know how best to negotiate between price and risk
- Ability to identify the decision makers within the clients' organizations.

- Independent yet a team player
