The Assistant Crewing Manager has the main objective to ensure that the vessels are at all times manned with sufficient number of qualified and experienced officers and ratings according to prevailing maritime laws and Company’s standards and ensures that the Manning Agencies, if engaged, abide by the Company’s guidelines when selecting personnel for service on board.

**Responsibilities**:

- Oversee crew schedule, crew rotation, sign on/off documentations, crew welfare.
- Review and approve travel claims, hotel invoices and other related vessels related bills
- Verify, checks and submit to senior management for approval on crew payroll
- Ensure monthly crew’s salary and expenses claims are paid on time.
- Responsible all aspects of crew management for vessels.
- Selection, appointment, welfare, discipline and maintaining appraisal records of seafarer.
- Review when necessary, the appraisal of seafarer’s performance and follow up training recommendation in consultation with the Marine and Technical Manager.
- To encourage and motivate seafarer and attend to all reasonable requests by seafarer and resolve their problems in a professional manner.
- Review and propose crew wage policy. To inform vessels about the wage structure as and when changes are affected.
- Along with Crewing Executives, ensure that all necessary documentation is prepared for processing of claims in matters pertaining to P&I crew medical and injuries. Maintain a close follow-up of same for their settlement.
- To handle seafarer grievances and disciplinary matters.
- Maintain good contact with Marine Port Authority (MPA), the unions and other relevant bodies report.
- In charge of the catering section of vessel and the overall welfare requirement of seafarer onboard.
- Submission of annual budget and make sure the department is running budgetarily.

**Preferred Qualifications**
- Minimum 5 years senior level experience, preferably in Marine Industry.
- With tanker or bunkering company knowledge preferred.
- Multilingual would be an advantage.
- Familiarity with MLC and TMSA auditing practices.
- Data analytical skills and use of IT systems.
- Knowledge of Mandatory STCW certifications, Seafarers’ employment, MLC and Flag State requirement.
- Understand MOM regulations and procedures.
- Strong leadership and people management experience.
