**Job Overview**:
The **Pre-Sales Specialist**will support the Solar Business Unit by providing technical expertise on full lifecycle solar solutions. They will engage with potential clients, demonstrating how the company’s solutions can improve energy efficiency, reduce carbon footprint, and provide end-to-end solutions. This role requires a combination of technical knowledge, customer engagement skills, and industry expertise to drive sales and support business growth.
**Key Responsibilities**:
**1)**Tender Bids**:
- Responsible for preparing tender submissions, technical proposals, RFPs, and business cases for prospective clients
- Design solar PV systems as part of tender bids
- Conduct site assessments and feasibility studies to determine potential savings and sustainability improvementsCollaborate with internal teams to best optimize tender bids for client assessment and consideration
**2)**Customer Engagement & Consultation**:
- Perform and generate energy simulations to analyse how to best maximise performance of PV layouts for clients
- Attend site visits and create site survey reports regarding site suitability and potential PV layout designs
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts related to solar projectsAssist the sales team in generating leads, qualifying opportunities, and closing deals
**3)**Industry & Market Analysis**:
- Stay updated on sustainability trends and regulatory changes related to renewable energy deployment
- Conduct competitive analysis to differentiate the company’s solutions in the market
- Gather client feedback to help improve solutionsStay up to date on the latest solar technologies, products, and industry trends
**4)**Collaboration**:
- Work with internal teams, including engineering and marketing, to align solutions with market demandCollaborate with partners, Qualified Persons (QPs), sustainability consultants, energy analysts for solution formulation and packaging
**Required Skills & Qualifications**:
- **Education**:At least a Specialist Diploma in Solar Photovoltaic (PV) Engineering and Monitoring (SDSEM) or a Diploma/Degree in Engineering, Environmental Science, Sustainability, Energy Management, Electrical Power Engineering or a related field
- **Software Proficiency**:Familiarity with SketchUp, PVSysts and Helioscope
- **Technical Expertise**:Ability to interpret EPC drawings, including SLDs, PV layouts, inverter placement layouts
- **Industry Knowledge**:Awareness of sustainability certifications e.g. BCA Green Mark
**Preferred Qualifications**:
- **Sales & Communication**:Strong communication, presentation, and negotiation skills
- **Client Relationship Management**:Proven ability to build and maintain strong client relationships
- **Analytical & Problem-Solving**:Ability to analyze project requirements and design appropriate solutions
- **Documentation**:Ability to prepare clear and concise technical documentation or proposals
- **Industry Familiarity**:Knowledge of the Singapore solar energy market and relevant regulations
- **Experience**:2 - 5 years of experience in solar energy, sales, or a related field
