Our client is currently seeking a Head of Finance to be based in Singapore, which is the headquarters of the organisation. This role reports directly to the CEO.

The Head of Finance is responsible for managing the financial actions of the company. You will drive the core financial processes for the business including financial analysis and reporting, budgeting and forecasting functions, as well as special projects with senior leadership (e.g., fundraising support and Board/investor reporting). You will also analyze strengths and weaknesses to propose corrective action plans when necessary and prepare accurate forecasts so that management can make informed decisions about future investments or cuts.

A successful Head of Finance must see risks and opportunities behind financial data and act as a strategic business partner for the CEO. To do this, you need strong leadership skills, excellent communication with team members, and is an expert on current financial topics related to your industry.

**Responsibilities include**:

- Own the development and analysis of budgets, forecasts, and strategic plans, working across all functional areas of the business
- Collaborate with the existing accounting team to ensure alignment between the plan and actual reporting
- Develop and leverage a deep understanding of the key drivers of the various business levers; help drive strategic and operational initiatives as the business grows and scales
- Collaborate with supported business leaders to build, maintain and continuously evolve financial models and forecasts to evaluate, includes and not limited, to business options, product launches and other strategic deliverables
- Synthesize and effectively communicate key financial and business findings to key stakeholders and influence executive and business decision making to improve performance and capture new business opportunities
- Drive key business/ investor related presentations, scenario planning, analysis, including fundraising efforts and due diligence

**Desired skills and experience**:

- Degree in Accountancy or CPA, with at least 15 years’ finance-related experience, preferably with strategic business partnering or FP&A roles
- Experience in leading the finance function in a small to mid-size start-up organization would be advantageous
- Proven ability to work in a fast pace and vibrant environment. The position requires high efficiency and effectiveness
- Engaging interpersonal negotiation and communication skills, including experience in cross-cultural environments and international settings
- Flexibility and adaptability to constantly changing priorities
- A dynamic, self-starter and entrepreneurial attitude
- An intense desire to roll up your sleeves - you want to build something from scratch and don't need hand-holding
