Singapore MERANTI POWER PTE. LTD. Full time

Meranti Power Pte Ltd, a fully owned subsidiary of Energy Market Authority, is operating new power generation units on Jurong Island. We are seeking committed individuals for the position of Head of Finance. The scope and requirements for this position are as follows:
The Head of Finance is responsible for all financial activities of Meranti Power. This includes reporting, compliance and strategic analysis to ensure sound financial management and sustainable growth.

The Head of Finance will report to the Chief Corporate Officer.

Key Responsibilities:

- Accountable for entire spectrum of activities related to the Finance Department, including and not limited to Budgeting, Forecasting Financial Planning, Cash Flow and Treasury Management, Compliance and Control, Cost Management and Stakeholder Management.
- Accountable for accurate and timely submission of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports in compliance with regulatory and internal standards, e.g. IFRS, SFRS, etc.
- Lead and ensure robust internal controls and compliance with tax, regulatory and legal requirements.
- Provide sound financial advice to Senior Management to support strategic decision-making and offering financial insights and recommendations.
- Lead the team to prepare business cases and risk assessments for major initiatives and capital expenditures.
- Drive cost management and profitability analysis across departments and services.
- Manage and maintain professional banking relationships, funding strategies and capital restructuring as needed.
- Lead the finance team to build a culture of performance, accountability and continuous improvement.
- Lead coordinator for all internal and external audit proceedings.
- Write, implement and update finance policies and procedures.
- Implement, maintain and update business processes on ERP systems.
- Ensure proper integration with procurement and warehouse systems and processes.
- Prepare and present financial papers to Senior Management and Board Members.
- Any other duties as assigned.

**Requirements**:

- Education in Accountancy, Business, Finance and is a certified CPA and/or CA.
- At least 15 years of audit and accounting experience, or relevant working experience, of which at least 5 years' experience in a senior financial managerial position leading a team.
- Advance working knowledge and understanding of accounting, regulatory issues and tax planning.
- Experience in ERP systems (eg. Oracle Netsuite) and familiarity with EAP systems (IBM Maximo) is preferred.
- Results oriented, strategic thinker and planner to deal with new and complex issues.
- Excellent leadership skills, with steadfast resolve and personal integrity.
- Exceptional verbal, written and communication skills; fluent in written and spoken English.
- Build strong and professional relationships with external stakeholders.
- Relevant industry experience in power, energy, utilities will be preferred.
- Willing to work in Jurong Island.
