Head of Corporate Finance

Our client is in the Oil & Gas industry and they have a few job openings for the Head of Corporate Finance position

Reporting to the Global Head of Corporate Finance & Treasury, the Head of Corporate Finance Eastern Hemisphere leads the corporate finance team in the Eastern hemisphere and, together with the Head of Corporate Finance Western Hemisphere, oversees the investment and financing activities of the company and is responsible for capital raises.

**Responsibilities**
- Lead the corporate finance activities in the Eastern Hemisphere, including the assessment of investment opportunities, due diligence processes and financing initiatives along the capital structure
- Contribute to the development and execution of a wholistic financing strategy, the capital budgeting process and planning of financing initiatives to meet funding requirements, ensure solvency and create financial flexibility, and assist in the management of the capital structure and debt profile
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with lenders, investors and investment banks in the Eastern Hemisphere and build brand recognition in the relevant financial markets
- Prepare and communicate investment and financing proposals, presentations and reports to internal and external stakeholders
- Partner with internal and external stakeholders, initiate and lead corporate finance related initiatives in collaboration with the Head of Corporate Finance Western Hemisphere and liaise with the parent organisation in relation to corporate finance related matters
- Ensure the ongoing monitoring of financing arrangements, covenants, cash flows, financial risks and valuation throughout the asset and financing life cycle and the reporting to and communication with the relevant internal and external stakeholders
- Lead and mentor the members of the department to greater levels of effectiveness and engagement, act as a role model for the organisation and cultivate a winning culture, facilitate learning and development, manage and plan resources, and oversee the department’s affairs
- Manage ad hoc matters arising and perform other tasks that may be assigned from time to time

**Requirements**:

- At least 12 years of work experience in corporate and/or project finance, investment banking, and/or private equity and a proven track record in structuring, arranging, negotiating and executing large-scale infrastructure financings (debt and equity), with a particular focus on offshore oil and gas
- An established network with lenders, investors and investment banks in the infrastructure and offshore oil and gas space, particularly in Southeast Asia and Japan, and the drive to expand the network and develop new relationships
- Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation skills, and the ability to communicate complex matters concisely and effectively across all levels of the organisation
- Advanced people leadership skills to build and lead high-performance teams in an international setup and across geographies
- A systematic approach to solve complex problems and solution-oriented thinking with high attention to detail and a big picture view
- A high degree of self-motivation, ambitious and hands-on, with an entrepreneurial mindset; a good team player with the ability to engage with people and deliver within tight deadlines and in a fast-paced, international environment
- A good degree in accounting, business administration, economics, finance or equivalent from a recognised university; a postgraduate degree and/or a professional qualification such as CFA are considered an advantage
