Associate Director, Business Analytics

Janssen APAC is recruiting for a Regional Associate Director, Business Analytics

We are looking for an outstanding individual with exceptional leadership, analytical, problem-solving and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and influence cross functional team and business partners throughout the organization.

The Regional Associate Director, Business Analytics will lead design, development and implementation of solutions involving data visualization, modelling and forecasting. This role plays a pivotal role in shaping decision-making, and driving organizational action

The role with involve working closely with the regional team counterparts and Country Operating Companies (OpCos) to identify opportunities for close collaboration and drive efficiencies. It will also require strong engagement with business technology partners to align on right platforms, tools

**Key Responsibilities**:
Business Analytics:

- Drive building enterprise capability in advanced analytics and drive forward thinking predictive analytics with focus on regional forecasting, visualization and analytics platforms and capabilities
- Lead the efforts for development, implementation and maintenance of regional forecasting capability across in-market brands, new product launches and assets in early development stages
- Collaborate closely with the regional Therapeutic Area aligned BI team members, technology partners and vendors on the platform / capability features, user experience, deployment plan, accuracy checks/validation, and maintenance of the models and the platform
- Collaborate closely with regional and OpCo BI teams to pro-actively map requirements, solicit feedback, track user adoption, forecast precision and identify opportunities for enhancements to the models
- Lead efforts for design and development of Next Gen Analytics Platform - Integrate business intelligence, analytics, primary research, sales effectiveness and forecasts developed, and translate into business impact
- Identify, design, and execute integrated analytics which inform marketing and sales strategy and tactics
- Work with visualization, UX team to define how best data should be curated for these interfaces.
- Leverage tools & technologies to explore existing and new data assets to uncover hidden insights to aid unmet needs
- Collaborate with the Data Stewards and cross-functional business partners, and technology teams to have complete understanding of different available data sources (internal + external), discover “source of truth” datasets, define best path to connect that data based on business logic and work with data engineers to build models that support the business needs

Business Engagement & Partnering:

- Work with cross functional stakeholders within the business including Marketing, Sales, IT, Finance, Global /Local BI, regional commercial excellence to deliver cohesive view of the market, customer engagement, patient journey, sales effectiveness, pricing, opportunity and risks
- Proactively build and nurture relationships with key business partners to drive insight-based decision making
- Solicit and guide the exchange of best practices in generating insights, advanced analytics and feedback / impact metrics across APAC and with other regions
- Communicate with global, regional, and OpCo functions to ensure alignment in business analytics priorities and efforts

Vendor Management:

- Define and respond to key business requirements by synergizing the capabilities of internal and external partners in the fields of analytics, forecasting and technology
- Ensure optimal use of existing platform functionality and strategic review of emerging capabilities

**Qualifications** Experience and Skills**:
**Required**:

- Bachelor’s degree in business, finance, science or equivalent
- A minimum of 7-10 years of relevant business experience in business analytics, business intelligence, forecasting, market research, marketing, and/or management consulting
- Expert proficiency in Microsoft Excel with deep experience in complex Excel models and large data sets
- Strong data background with knowledge and experience in data visualization, data modelling, data pipelines, ETL processes
- Strength in storytelling and developing effective presentations with ability to adjust presentation and communication style to different audiences and cultures
- Ability to craft context around key business features and behaviours. Presenting those ideas in a business and user-friendly language is required.
- Strong project management skills and ability to coordinate across multi-functional and matrix environment
- Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues across functional areas and markets
- Self-starter mindset and keen interest in continuous learning and being aware of advances in data visualization, statistical modeling, database design
- Experience partnering with and influencing senior stakeholders
