Associate Director: Business Development

Waystone are looking for a talented Business Development Associate Director to join their Singapore team on a permanent basis. Working with the Global Business Development Team, the Associate Director supports the business development activities of the organization in their jurisdiction, which is Asia excluding China. **What you will be doing**:
- Working with the Global Business Development Team and the Managing Director, the Associate Director supports the business development activities of the organization. Driving new business leads for the company across our compliance solutions division, the Associate Director also plays a key role in the company’s goal of building key relationships by maintaining, cultivating and enhancing client relationships.
- Generate business leads for the Singapore office and for other assigned regions by visiting existing clients on an individual basis or with directors or with product expert to understand issues and establish potential cross-sell.
- Follow Waystone Code of Conduct and lead by example.
- Supports the Managing Director in the generation of new business leads and development and growth of the company’s profile and reputation.
- Always have a sense of urgency and the ability to prioritize work.
- Attends conferences, seminars, industry networking events and generating leads and relationship introductions.
- Records and reports business activities through Salesforce.
- Identifies market opportunities which will contribute towards the development of new programs and products.
- Develops strategies for establishing partnerships and business relationships to market product offerings and services, across our compliance solutions division.
- Liaise with attorneys, investment managers, brokers and other financial service providers around the world as the primary contact.
- Prepare, deliver and attend client presentations, demonstrations as well as the preparation of in-depth proposals and detailed quotes.
- Keep abreast of all regulatory changes.
- Actively question methods and processes with the key to making the team more effective and efficient.
- Be able and willing to take on additional duties as and when required including covering for colleagues when they are out of office.
- Be faced with decisions that require special knowledge or expertise one does not possess or cannot readily obtain, and rely reasonably upon information presented by others to make the decision.

**Your profile**:
- Strong academic background in Finance/Business/Economics or related field.
- Minimum of 5 years financial services/investment funds experience.
- Proven success and advancement within a sales / business development role.
- Analytical and critical thinking skills; ability to make good decisions when faced with complex or ambiguous data.
- Client facing background with outstanding presentation skills.
- Outstanding time management, organizational skills, oral/written communication skills, critical thinking and attention to detail is required.
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment including reporting and providing support to various members of the team.
- Strong MS Office Skills; CRM software experience required.
