About the role

We are seeking a skilled Procurement Executive / Purchasing Executive to join our team. In this full-time role, you will play a crucial part in managing the procurement and purchasing processes for our construction projects based in the East Region. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the success of our growing construction company.

What you'll be doing

  1. Sourcing and negotiating with suppliers to secure the best deals on materials, equipment, and services required for our construction projects
  2. Preparing and processing purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation
  3. Maintaining accurate inventory records and ensuring timely delivery of materials to project sites
  4. Collaborating with project managers and site supervisors to understand and meet their procurement needs
  5. Monitoring supplier performance and quality of goods and services to maintain high standards
  6. Identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in the procurement function
  7. Providing regular reports on procurement activities and contributing to the overall procurement strategy
  8. Perform regular inventory checks and order replenishments as needed to ensure the availability of critical supplies.
  9. Ensure compliance with company policies, project requirements, and HDB procurement standards.
  10. Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned by the management.

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years of experience in a procurement or purchasing role, preferably in the construction industry
  2. Strong negotiation and contract management skills
  3. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to liaise effectively with suppliers and internal stakeholders
  4. Proficient in using procurement software and Microsoft Office applications
  5. Good analytical and problem-solving skills to identify and resolve procurement issues
  6. Familiarity with construction materials, equipment, and industry regulations
  7. Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
