
Sales Executive

JOB PURPOSE:
The Sales Executive (SE) will assist the Sales Manager (SM) in the crafting and implementation of sales & marketing strategies for the Company and the various principal airlines within the areas of responsibility. The SE has to tap into various distribution channels to promote sales, build strong relationships with the various stakeholders in the travel industry to create brand awareness for the principal carriers, and thus, generate passenger revenues and surpass allocated targets
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Support the SM in developing and implementing of sales and marketing strategies for the various businesses to grow the Company's profitability
- Support the SM to meet revenue targets for the principal carriers and the Company
- Work closely with the other departments such as Sales Support and Reservation/Ticketing to support customers
- Work closely with airlines represented by the Company to design and recommend sales and marketing programs and set short and long-term sales strategies. Assist principal carriers to identify effective channels of sales.
- Build strong relationship with trade partners such as travel agents, corporate companies, associations etc.
- Support the trade partners with pricing requests.
- Provide market intelligence to SM.
- Participate in events and sales calls on behalf of the Company and principal carriers
- Perform other related functions, as assigned, for the purpose of ensuring the efficient and effective functioning of the work unit and the regional group.
CORE CAPABILITIES:
Educational Qualifications:
- A Certified Diploma or equivalent
- PC literate with knowledge of Word/Excel/Powerpoint
Experience:
- At least 2 years proven understanding of travel industry and Airline Marketing
- Airline sales experience. Candidates with Corporate Sales experience will be at an advantage
- Good knowledge of the local airline travel industry
Skills/Competencies:
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Bilingual, with good written and verbal communication skills in both English and another official local language. Candidates proficient in written and oral Mandarin will be at an advantage
- Strong influencing/negotiation/selling skills
- Self-motivated, highly organized and pro-active
- Good team player
