About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Solution Expert Manager (SEM) to join our commercial team in Singapore. In this role, you will report directly to the Global Head of Solution Expert Managers and work closely with our APAC Sales Director.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the technical aspects of the sales process to transform prospects into customers.
  • Act as the subject matter expert for Windward's commercial solutions and offerings.
  • Understand prospects' business challenges and design compelling solutions to win their business.
  • Serve as the key point of contact for prospective clients throughout the sales cycle.
  • Craft and refine sales pitches, deliver demos and presentations, conduct trials, and produce technical reports and materials.
  • Create effective proposals and responses to RFPs/RFIs by analyzing client needs and system infrastructure.
  • Share insights with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Customer Success, Product, and R&D) to improve customer experience.
  • Stay informed on the industry ecosystem and competitive landscape, highlighting Windward's technical and operational differentiators.
Requirements

What We're Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Solution Engineer / Pre-Sales professional in a SaaS company.
  • Strong background working with APAC maritime industry clients.
  • Experience selling APIs and portfolio integrations in the maritime space.
  • Advantage: familiarity with AI-based solutions.
  • Ability to simplify and communicate complex technical concepts clearly to customers.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, with a curious and open-minded mindset.
  • Willingness to travel as needed.
  • Familiarity with CRM systems (e.g., Salesforce) – an advantage.
  • Experience in a global company with HQ outside Europe – an advantage.
