Job Overview:

The Operations Manager leads and oversee the day-to-day operations of our Marine & Offshore services including shipbuilding, repair and transformation projects, specifically FPSO/FSO vessels projects. The role ensures business activities are executed efficiently and safely to meet project specifications, class and client requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Strategic Planning & Execution

  2. Plan and accomplish business activities to ensure operations are conducted on a sound, realistic, and profitable basis.

  3. Implement and enforce operational policies and procedures across departments.
  4. Approve operational documents requiring management endorsement.
  5. Administer contractual requirements and manage integrated change requests as needed.

  6. Assist in quoting variation works and ensure cost control for maximum profit return

  7. Project & Resource Management

  8. Lead project teams to manage and supervise execution of works, ensuring delivery within planned schedules.

  9. Plan overall work methodology, sequence, and resource allocation (manpower, materials, equipment).
  10. Attend or chair meetings with clients, ship crews, vendors, and classification societies to clarify scope, permits, compliance, and schedules.

  11. Ensure all contractual requirements are met and inspections are scheduled accordingly.

  12. Quality & Process Oversight

  13. Conduct corrective actions for non-conforming products and processes.

  14. Liaise with clients on warranty claims and customer complaints, ensuring timely resolution.
  15. Monitor execution standards to ensure compliance with safety, quality, and classification requirements.

4.  Human Resource Development

  • Oversee manpower planning and ensure sufficient staffing levels across projects.
  • Continuously review and develop employee capabilities to support business growth.
  • Guide, mentor, and manage cross-functional teams to achieve operational excellence.

5.  Workplace Safety & Health (WSH)

  • Attend daily coordination meetings to facilitate safe execution of works, especially hot work and incompatible activities.
  • Administer risk management and ensure safe work practices are implemented.
  • Responsible for overall safety and health standards throughout project execution.

6.  Contract & Cost Management

  • Represent the organization in contractual matters throughout project execution.
  • Ensure cost control and profitability across all operational activities.

7.  Flexibility & Mobility

  • Perform assigned projects with planned schedules abroad.
  • Able to travel and work offshore as and when require
  • Willing to support project needs during night shifts, weekends, and public holidays.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree in Business Administration, Marine Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 8 years' experience in operations or project management within the FPSO/FSO, offshore production, or shipyard environment
  • Proven leadership in managing multi-disciplinary teams and complex projects.
  • Strong understanding of quality systems, manpower planning, and customer service protocols.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and coordination skills.
