The Business Development Manager - MICE is responsible for leading the hotel's efforts to secure group and event business within the MICE segment. This role focuses on building long-term relationships with corporate, government, and agency clients to drive revenue through meetings, incentives, conferences, and exhibitions. The position involves strategic account management, business development, and close collaboration with internal departments to deliver exceptional client experiences.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

Sales & Business Development

• \tIdentify and develop new MICE business opportunities for the hotel.

• \tMaintain and grow relationships with key accounts, agencies, and intermediaries.

• \tRespond to MICE-related RFPs, prepare proposals, and negotiate contracts.

• \tAchieve and exceed MICE segment revenue targets and KPIs.

• \tRepresent the hotel at industry trade shows, networking events, and sales missions.

Account Management

• \tServe as the primary point of contact for MICE clients from initial inquiry through event execution.

• \tUnderstand clients' objectives and tailor event solutions accordingly.

• \tMaintain detailed records in the CRM system (e.g., Salesforce).

• \tConduct regular account reviews and client meetings to strengthen relationships.

Collaboration & Execution

• \tWork closely with the Events, Banquets, and Operations teams to ensure seamless event delivery.

• \tParticipate in daily/weekly business review meetings to forecast and strategize.

• \tMonitor competitor activity and market trends to inform sales strategy.

Reporting & Analysis

• \tPrepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market insights to senior management.

• \tMonitor performance metrics and analyze the success of MICE campaigns and promotions.

Qualifications:

• \tBachelor's degree in Hospitality, Business, Marketing, or a related field.

• \tMinimum 3-5 years of sales experience in the hospitality industry, with a focus on MICE.

• \tStrong network of MICE-related contacts, both domestic and international.

• \tExcellent communication, negotiation, and presentation skills.

• \tStrong organizational and time-management abilities.

• \tProficient in sales software and hotel systems (e.g., Delphi, Opera, Salesforce).
