Market Development

  • Monitor new builds and conversions of offshore floating structures (FPSOs, FSUs, FLNGs, FSRUs, FPUs) in APAC and globally with a focus on mooring system requirements.

  • Identify marginal fields and potential floater conversion projects with mooring needs in APAC, and assess their viability for company solutions.

  • Track newly discovered offshore fields and evaluate opportunities for the deployment of mooring systems.

  • Conduct competitive analysis of the mooring solutions market and identify key differentiators.

  • Leverage business networks to promote the company's mooring products and services.

Client Relationship Management

  • Drive business development for mooring solutions across target sectors including oil & gas operators, floater owners, EPC contractors, and offshore asset managers.

  • Establish and sustain long-term relationships with client decision-makers, technical stakeholders, and procurement leads.

  • Ensure consistent client engagement, delivering exceptional service and tailored mooring solutions.

  • Maximize revenue from existing clients by promoting the full suite of the company's mooring-related offerings.

  • Actively manage the sales pipeline using CRM systems, supporting accurate forecasting and reporting.

Tender and Proposal Preparation

  • Lead the preparation and submission of detailed tenders and proposals specific to mooring projects, ensuring alignment with technical and commercial requirements.

  • Collaborate with internal engineering, project management, and operations teams to ensure accuracy and competitiveness in proposals.

  • Contribute technical and market insight into proposal development to enhance win potential.

Revenue Growth & Strategy Execution

  • Identify and secure new business opportunities for mooring systems in line with company growth targets.

  • Develop and execute regional business strategies aligned with corporate goals and market dynamics in the mooring sector.

  • Deliver high-quality, client-focused presentations and pitches that emphasize the technical and operational benefits of the company's mooring solutions.

  • Work closely with the Regional Business Development Manager to coordinate strategic plans and share market intelligence.

Industry Networking & Representation

  • Represent the company at relevant industry events, exhibitions, and conferences focused on offshore energy, marine construction, and mooring technology.

  • Build and maintain a strong professional network across the APAC region within the mooring and offshore energy ecosystem.

Performance Reporting

  • Maintain accurate records of business development activities and client engagements using CRM tools.

  • Provide comprehensive visit and meeting reports post-client engagements.

  • Submit regular performance updates to the CCO and Regional Business Development Manager, including achievements, pipeline status, and growth opportunities.

Job Requirement

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related discipline (Marine, Offshore, Mechanical preferred).

  • Minimum of 5 years' experience in business development or sales within the offshore energy or marine industries; 10 years regional SEA experience preferred.

  • Proven sales experience with Oil & Gas operators, offshore structure owners (FPSO, FSO, FLNG), EPC contractors, and mooring equipment providers.

  • Previous sales management experience driving revenue growth and achieving sales targets in accordance with group forecasts and year on year growth targets

  • Knowledge of mooring market is preferred

Industry Knowledge:

  • Market awareness of the following is deemed critical to success in the role:

  • New-build floaters, floater conversions, and marginal field operations (FPU/FSRU/FPSO)

  • Marine & subsea construction markets

  • Offshore drilling markets

  • Familiarity with the Asia Pacific & Oceanic regions is essential

  • Owner / Operator experience is highly desirable

Technical Skills/Qualifications:

  • Experience in tendering activities and proposals preparation essential

  • Recognized formal qualification in sales or business discipline preferred

  • Proficiency in market research, data analysis, and sales pipeline management

  • CRM Proficiency and direct user experience

  • Ability to develop tailored presentations for clients in accordance with group branding guidelines
